And all of them interface with Keysight's global network of direct sales, support, and indirect channel partners.

Job Description

Keysight is looking for an experienced sales professional with the initiative to identify and close sales opportunities within both a geographic territory and a set of established accounts.  This position is focused on growing sales of Keysight’ s electronic measurement products and taking share from competitors in the respective area of responsibility.  Being persuasive to create new opportunities and win business as well as developing strong customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction are key aspects to this position.  Success in this role requires close teamwork with Inside Territory Managers to qualify and prioritize opportunities and maximize sales.  A key skill is the ability to lead internal teams to manage deals involving multiple divisions, channel partners, and our Applications Engineering Organization.  The Territory FE position is for a highly-motivated sales professional with responsibilities for:


  • Responsible for generating existing and/or new sales for assigned named accounts and assigned geographic, territory, industry and accounts list.
  • Developing and maintaining assigned account / territory plans which outline how sales goals will be met on an ongoing basis.
  • Regularly identifying new opportunities within assigned accounts / geography and applying the appropriate action and resources to win the business.
  •  Promotes and sells products and/or solutions to current or new customers and informs customers of new product introductions.
  • Working closely with the Inside Territory Manager to maximize sales in the geographic territory through opportunity qualification, prioritization and executing what is needed to win deals.
  • Working closely with Distribution and Rental partners to maximize Keysight solution awareness at territory accounts
  • Building a strong sales funnel that shows consistent growth with a steady flow of sales resulting from it.
  • Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans.
  • Leads projects requiring coordination with other functions, organizations
  • Driving the sales process, managing opportunities and complex issues that require leadership and coordination with technical staff, divisions and other organizations.
  • Conducting regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to Keysight’s product/service strategies.
  • Creating demand for Keysight’s products and services.
  • Time and territory management process to execute many customer contacts (F2F, phone, web, etc.) on a weekly basis.
  • Developing and building long term relationships and loyalty with customers while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously learning new products, applications and technologies.
  • Works closely with assigned Territory Manager (TM - inside sales) to effectively sell in the WI and IL territory.  Split all territory account orders 50/50 in this territory with TM
  • Expected to meet with customers face-face on a regular basis throughout the states of WI and IL.  Some overnight trips are required in Northern WI and Southern IL.
  • Knowledge & Use of salesforce.com software tool required

  • Travel Required: > 50%



This position is compensated by a 60% salary and 40% commission.  It yields 100% target pay achievement at 100% of targeted sales with higher commission rates once the sales target is exceeded with no cap.


Job Qualifications

This position requires at least 3-5 years of sales experience with an emphasis on winning competitive sales through exceptional account and time management.

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.
  • Strong understanding of electronic test and measurement applications.
  • Passion for continuous learning in electronics technology and professional selling.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and internal teammates.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Sound business judgment with organization & negotiation skills.
  • Effective presentation and problem solving skills.
