RF/Microwave Instruments Product Manager

You will be responsible for the development of market/product line business plans and strategic programs to support sales in designated market segments, identify volume and strategic customers, and develop partnerships.

You will define, design and drive strategies and programs that you deem to have greatest potential for order growth. You will have full ownership and accountability to maximize product sales across all channels – solution teams, direct sales channels, and indirect sales channels -- and across the entire product lifecycle. The success factor for this role would require you be an expert on your products, keep an eye on the competitive environment and dynamically shift plans to meet or exceed order targets by closely working with other functions, such as the Center Of Expertise (R&D), Manufacturing, and the Outbound Marketing teams. This position requires the ability to analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities, develop strategic direction from market information, and create compelling market analysis initiatives

 

Principal Roles and Responsibilities:
 

  • Serve as point person for New Product Readiness, pertaining to product management deliverables during the development lifecycle including: Finalized Product Structures and Pricing, New Product Order forecast, fundamental content (datasheet, early customer presentations, typical configurations on Keysight.com, competitive materials) required for product launches, and the product trainings for both the sales channels and customers.
  • Responsible for post-SHP product management items, including production demand forecasting and management of overall product lifecycle: Product Pricing; Product structure & licensing (SW); Product Gross Margins, Legacy platform migration strategies, product discontinuance.
  • Repository of overall product segment’s knowledge, including: Product knowledge, Product use cases/applications knowledge, Business Analytics, Quarterly Business Review meetings; Driving corrective actions to grow the product portfolio health.
  • Provide product enhancement feedback to the R&D team based on customer use cases/inputs and field input.
  • Serve as point person to Industry Solution Teams (IST) to ensure appropriate coordination and representation of products/components into solution(s). Also, leverage IST application/solution knowledge for product order growth as needed.
  • Train, equip and enable all relevant sales channels including indirect sales channel partners to successfully to sell for any given product portfolio. 
  • Enable the outbound marketing organization by clearing articulating the value proposition of the products, key applications, key markets within the portfolio.
  • Work with Competitive Response team to provide response and guidance to the sales channels in order to maximize sales opportunities
  • Leads large scale projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers, third parties
  • Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent.
  • Typically >10 years relevant experience for entry to this level
  • Sound RF/uW application and technical knowledge with specific working experience in signal analyzers, signal sources and/or network analyzers.
  • Strong business acumen & analytical skills – able to apply sort through large data and identify growth strategies
  • Strong presentation skills and influencing skills, leading cross functional teams and delivering compelling presentations to customers.
