The successful candidate will be ready to hit the ground running, by designing, developing, testing, and releasing application software for high speed arbitrary waveform generators.  We are looking for candidates who are passionate about software development and are also comfortable interfacing with hardware. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Together with the SW team, design and develop instrument control software for high performance RF products and solutions
  • Create and maintain software infrastructure such as automated builds, automated unit tests, documentation
  • Work with the SW QA team to ensure high quality shipping software
  • Work with other engineering disciplines such as hardware engineering and marketing to develop and refine the overall product and solution
  • Develop software from high level graphical user interfaces to low level device drivers
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Work effectively with off-site teams

Job Qualifications


  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Previous experience developing software in a group environment (i.e. class project, prior internship, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in C/C++
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and design
  • Experience controlling hardware
  • Experience using source code control systems
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • And of course, works well with others!

Desired qualifications:

  • Familiarity with test instruments and basic signal processing (both digital and analog)
  • Experience with C#, Java, HTML5
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes
  • Programming in one or more of the following scripting languages:  Python, Perl, MSBuild, PowerShell
  • Experience with … (Raspberry Pi or Arduino)
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and/or programmable logic devices
  • RTOS experience
  • Understanding of MVVM (model view and view-model) design pattern
