Job Description

Researches and develops compound semiconductor integrated circuit technologies using deep understanding of device physics, materials and processing. Determines technology performance requirements based on customer needs and creates IC technology platforms to achieve the objectives. Designs and implements semiconductor solutions using materials growth, device physics and advanced nano-fabrication methods. Documents research and design specifications. Solves complex and high impact design and development problems including customer application issues of varying scope and complexity. Uses product and customer applications knowledge to determine, define, develop and validate design concepts and methods. May facilitate transition of semiconductor product design and enhancements to full production/delivery.

  • Reduces broad concepts, business strategies into structured projects
  • Leads the design/ delivery of new product/ process/ service technology advancements; is the key technical contributor
  • Solves complex, high impact design/ development problems
Job Qualifications

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience with advanced semiconductor processes and devices is essential and specific skills in compound semiconductors are highly desirable. Candidates should be knowledgeable in semiconductor device fabrication and technology. Experience with statistical process control and design of experiments is desired. Candidates should have excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills for successful inter-group and intra-group interactions. This engineer must be highly motivated in order to accomplish all the tasks required to meet very aggressive product development schedules and world class manufacturing expectations.
