Network Solution Marketing Engineer Job Description 
As network solution marketing engineer, you are responsible for crafting messaging, creating compelling content, identifying targeted customer delivery methods, and delivering that content via those channels.  This role is all about thought leadership content creation that current and potential customers want to consume.  You will collaborate with a cross-functional team including product management, product marketing, sales, and outside analysts to develop thought leadership messaging strategy, positioning, value proposition and competitive differentiation of Ixia’s products. You will conceive, build, and execute marketing programs that grow awareness and lead to development of inquiries and qualified leads. 

  • Drive go-to-market plans for targeting solutions with an emphasis industry market trends or customer segment user cases
  • Establish effective working relationships and align marketing vision with executives in Product Management, Sales, Partners, and Customers to develop compelling, creative marketing materials that position Ixia products to market pain points while developing thought leadership in the market.
  • Create compelling assets that integrate tangible proof points, differentiation and business value, enabling sales to confidently articulate and prove the solutions’ value proposition.
  • Create and manage solution content including website copy, infographics, white papers, solution briefs, sales and customer presentations, training, newsletters, and FAQs.
  • Execute solutions marketing plans for launches, partnering with internal/external facing teams.
  • Support outbound marketing execution to drive inquiries that evolve to qualified lead generation and increase sales pipeline.
  • Customer-benefit oriented, highly differentiated collateral including, white papers, ROI modeling, blogs and customer testimonials, to be utilized in marketing awareness and thought leadership campaigns and demand generation efforts.
  • Identify and promote awareness opportunities including industry events, analyst and press briefings.

Job Qualifications

Required Skills / Qualifications
  • Marketing technology expertise in one or more of the following: security, data center, cloud, networking, storage or servers, network management/monitoring applications
  • Marketing knowledge of enterprise, service provider and/or telecom customers
  • 8+ years of professional marketing experience of which 5+ years of experience in a software or technology product company in Product Marketing or a similar role; preferably in enterprise markets
  • Experience working with executive teams and aligning them to strategic objectives
  • Creative thinker and excellent communicator
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Experience working closely with a sales organization with a strong affinity for sales team success
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree and MBA highly preferred
