And all of them interface with Keysight's global network of direct sales, support, and indirect channel partners.

Job Description

Chosen candidate will be part of our US Field Engineering Team, based in Salt Lake city, Utah  

Responsibilities include:

  • Tests, aligns, and calibrates electronic instruments, products and modules to maintain functionality and accuracy
  • Evaluate, determine and develop approaches to assignments and procedures
  • Solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity
  • Evaluates assignments and determines actions required
  • Position will mainly work from Salt Lake City in the Keysight Lab
  • Serves as an internal resource on technical issues.
  • May deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or customers.
  • May train other field engineers or customers. 

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, military training or equivalent,  plus a minimum of 3+ years relevant experience as an electronic technician/field engineer, with typically 5 to 8 years practical experience.
  • Experience in the electronic instrumentation repair/calibration industry.
  • A demonstrated ability to master new and continuously changing technologies with minimal training.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively with fellow team members, customers and management.
  • 1-2 years direct experience in calibration and alignment of test and measurement equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Voltmeters, Power Supplies, Signal Sources, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and LCR Meters.
  • Experience with correct handling of RF cable/connectors
  • High level of computer proficiency
  • Comfortable working with a Customer(s) and Keysight personnel watching and asking questions
  • Knowledge of Total Quality Methodologies.

 

Desired:

  • Direct experience on HP/Keysight instrumentation and automated calibration systems.
  • PMEL/Metrology background.
