Job Description

Field technical revenue requests from various divisions within the company, including but not limited to, APAC and JAPAN regions.  Includes assessing complex revenue recognition scenarios and interpreting the ASC 606 guidance for assessing the revenue impact for the company.  Includes communicating and documenting assessments to field and/or non-revenue resources.

Act as a resource to help manage day-to-day assignments, provide support for revenue requests or analyses and development for junior resources.

Co-manage Deal Desk activities which includes acting as Admin during offline US hours.  Involves assessing incoming Deal Desk requests, assigning the requests to the appropriate regional revenue lead and providing guidance for addressing those requests, as needed.

Manage and respond to more complex Deal Desk requests.  Own the request, gather information and documentation, facilitate meetings (as needed), to document and provide a resolution for the request.   Would include providing detailed instructions the CCC(Customer Contact Center) for booking an order.

Assist in close review processes and procedures, including but not limited to:

  • Reviewing and validating manual journal entries for booking and posting.  Requires review of supporting documentation and journal entry to ensure conformity to ASC606 and US GAAP standards.  Occurs on a monthly basis.
  • Preparation and/or review of certain SOX analyses at quarter end.

Work closely with and coordinate with the rest of the revenue team on the implementation of the new revenue standards, systems and other projects, as identified.

Assist in adhoc projects or field training.

Job Qualifications
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant/MBA from a reputed institute or equivalent qualification with 10+ years accounting experience with mix private + public accounting exposure at Managerial or senior level
      • Exposure to US GAAP is an added advantage
      • Revenue recognition knowledge of ASC 605, ASC 606, Awareness to revenue recognition guidelines and regulations is preferred
      • Deep understanding of Finance ERP systems(Oracle and Revpro system preferred) & operational processes, financial & tax reporting needs, ability to provide insightful, effective consulting and advice to business partners
      • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience in leading complex projects involving global project teams
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively across different levels & geographies
