Job Description

This is your opportunity to join our KeysightCare team to deliver remote diagnostic and technology support and technical services to external customers and our strategic partners.   The KeysightCare Technical Support Engineer is a key player in the customer value chain and you are critical in supporting our customer’s technical problems.   

Typical applications are test of electronic components, digital modulation in wireless communications and a wide range of signal analysis and data acquisition applications. Your knowledge of measurement automation applications to solve connectivity problems is key.

You'll learn how to provide timely and effective on-line technical support; clarifying, analysing and resolving technical problems of varied scope and complexity.  You will be required to demonstrate a broad knowledge of instrumentation, applications and technologies, with the intent that over time as you build your knowledge and experience you become more specialised in a specific technology / industry area.

This position requires high energy, a good attitude and teamwork, to drive cost effective problem resolution for our customers. Strong customer focus, technical competence and flexibility to adapt to new technologies, are key success factors.

You start with a comprehensive technical training program, complemented by the development of professional skills required in a services environment.

We are looking for an intermediate Technical Support Engineer with ideally 4+ years working with RF/MW technologies or related businesses.


Responsibilities include:

- Interfacing with existing or potential customers, sales and/or service representatives and partners to handle a variety of pre-sales or post-sales enquiries.
- Provide timely and effective remote pre and post sales technical support, solving technical problems of varied scope and complexity.
- Close cooperation with the Keysight product and software divisions. The remote technical support engineer is the technical interface between the customers and the Keysight product developers.
- Leverage post sales interactions with customers to probe and qualify further revenue opportunities.


Job Qualifications

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in an engineering or science discipline, or equivalent.
Ideally already 2 years relevant experience working in an RF/MW technologies or related businesses
Solid understanding of the generation, demodulation and analysis of digital communication signals.
Solid understanding of RF/MW fundamentals with practical experience using RF/MW test equipment.
Basic programming skills applied in a T&M environment using programming languages such as VEE, LabView, MATLAB ® and Visual Basic.
Strong analytical skills to analyse and solve technical problems
Strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure.
Must have: Fluent French written and oral communication essential (C2 level).  A strong level of English language skills required (C1 level).
Nice to have: Full driving license
