Keysight Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a College Graduate DSP/ASIC R&D engineer. This critical position has an opportunity to help drive leading edge ASICs that shape and impact the electronic world around us by creating and delivering new measurement solutions. This technical position is responsible for the design and verification of DSP functionality and ASICs. This position is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, recently ranked as the most desirable place to live by U.S. News & World Report.

Objective of role:

Design and verify DSP and mixed signal ASICs that meets customer functionality, schedule and quality requirements.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the specification and definition of the ASIC and of the DSP and digital blocks on the ASIC that meets the customer and market requirements
  • Explore, design, implement, and verify the DSP and digital blocks for the ASIC
  • Integrate and interface with high performance analog measurement circuits and invent and develop DSP algorithms to minimize impairments and extend performance of analog circuits
  • Participate in the verification of the ASIC and the turn-on and debug of the ASIC in a product
  • Improve and automate established ASIC tools and verification methodologies to increase productivity, quality, and effectiveness
  • Participate in the entire spectrum of full ASIC design activities including definition, architectures, DSP design, digital logic design, IP validation, verification, and synthesis
Job Qualifications

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering

  • Some experience in the direct design and verification of digital and mixed signal ASICs and DSP algorithms either in ASICs or FPGAs
  • Solid mathematical background and fluent with Digital Signal Processing theory and Digital Design Techniques.
  • Proficiency in software models and how these models are used in the control and programming of an ASIC
  • Strong EE fundamentals with some experience in ASIC Design, DSP, digital architectures/systems, and verification of large and mixed signal ASIC designs
  • Leadership skills to gain credibility and respect to drive change and influence teams and partners towards higher levels of execution, return, and productivity
  • Ability to multi-task and to engage with multiple projects, engineers, and partnerships
  • Some understanding of ASIC/FPGA design flow, methodologies, and process
  • Fluent with object-oriented programming in C++, Verilog, System Verilog
  • Understanding of analog design basics
  • Understanding of digital ASIC design methods and tools
  • Strong teamwork and written/verbal communication skills
