Global Services Sales - Senior Sales Manager Position

Services have been identified as a key growth initiative for Keysight. This strategic role will be responsible for our largest service region. The Americas region has consistently achieved double digit growth and the successful candidate is expected to continue these achievements. Reporting to the VP/GM of Global Services Sales, the successful individual will create and implement effective sales strategies and lead a sales team in the US and Canada.  The team is comprised of sales managers, new business sales and renewal sales staff.  Key objectives are:

  • Exceed sales and financial plan each quarter.
  • Develop and manage a world-class services sales team that ensures aggressive growth goals are met.
  • Develop and execute the go to market strategy for the SSG portfolio:
    • Define and drive the US/ Canada Keysight services sales strategy and sales coverage model in alignment with the WW Service Sales VP
    • Partner with the sales leadership teams to leverage the scale and presence of Keysight’s HW & SW channels in each region for both existing and new services.
    • Coordinate Keysight US / Canada SSG marketing strategies. 


Job Qualifications

Job Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy

  • Understands the uniqueness of selling services, particularly the challenges and opportunities in a traditional hardware based company, and works to overcome obstacles to achieve growth targets
  • Understands industry and market trends and leads the organization to capitalize on the opportunities.
  • Creates profitable growth by capturing new business, taking market share, and discovering ways to expand Keysight’s Served Addressable Market (SAM).
  • Partners closely with marketing and demand generation to refine and optimize inbound lead channels to align with sales efforts
  • Creates executive relationships to capture the highest percentage of the customer’s available business. 
  • Proactively engages and influences all resources which includes sales, marketing, and product groups to provide the essential components to create new business opportunities  


Sales Innovation and Operational Excellence

  • Define, refine, and execute the sales plans to drive double digit growth
  • Rigorously manages the sales funnel
  • Continuously monitor, measure, and improve sales processes
  • Creates and manages sales forecast
  • Develops unique ways to overcome sales obstacles


High Performance Team

  • Understands and teaches the psychology and tactics of services selling
  • Builds and motivates a collaborative and high-performance sales team
  • Establishes clear strategies, goals, and metrics for the services sales team 
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement to improve sales tools, methodologies, and training requirements
  • Effectively coaches managers and employees
  • Ensures the highest level of integrity and compliance. 


Required Skills:

  • 10+ years sales management experience, ideally in a services sales organization
  • Prior experience in a managing sales teams and large, strategic accounts.
  • Experience managing different selling models (transactional, on-line, indirect, executive)
  • Data driven leader with a good understanding of CRM and other key metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing sales strategies that consistently met/ exceeded goals.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate, mentor, support, and evaluate the managers and sales employees.
