Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the new Customer Success team within Keysight at the forefront of Keysight’s software strategy.  As pre-sales Applications Engineer (AE) you will be responsible for adoption, retention, expansion & upselling of Keysight software solutions and contracts at our Enterprise customers. You will work closely with the customer to provide an integrated Customer Experience.  This will entail spending significant time working with them as a consultant onsite and looking for ways to build Design Flows, Grow Usage, and find Services opportunities. You should be able to prioritize your tasks, differentiate between the urgent and the important and be proactive. You will know your customers world view and understand the key strategic investments, their major products and projects and their desired design flows and current gaps.

Job Requirements:
1. Work on making Keysight tools part of the approved design flow(s). Finds ways to move forward even when faced with obstacles or resistance to change. Bring back requirements for product enhancements or fixes to Keysight Factory.
2. Deliver regular Training events to ensure customers know how to use tools including NPI training (e.g. What’s New session). Use “Great Demo” and “Conversations that Win” techniques to achieve this.
3. Have deep product knowledge and can discuss technical details with customer. Can do extensive benchmarks or evaluations if needed. Brings in extra help when needed.
4. Is involved in all ongoing design and technical activities at customer site. Is able to articulate customer’s design flow, its gaps and challenges. Hold regular office hours on-site to solve design issues.
5. Own “issues” list. Regularly updates customer and Keysight stakeholders on status of issues. Work closely with Technical Support team to ensure items are correctly tracked in factory systems.
6. Work with Customer Success Manager to execute on strategy and focus on day to day tactics. Shares best practices with rest of Customer Success team.

Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent communications skills, and Strong interaction skills with customers.
  • 5+ years of experience in at least one related field (RF System, RFIC, High speed digital, applications engineering, technical support, etc.)
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts related to Communication Systems Design, Electronic System Level, and/or High Speed Digital, and/or RF/Microwave designs.


  • Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
  • Expertise in knowledge of Communication Systems Design, Electronic System Level design and concepts like RF Budget analysis, BER, EVM.
  • Knowledge of cellular technologies like: 5G, IoT, 4G, LTE, etc.
  • Expertise in Keysight EDA tools like SystemVue, ADS. Also, knowledge of other industry tools like Matlab, Simulink, etc.



  • Ideally in Andover, MA. Other locations in MA will be considered.
